About

I shoot to solve a problem, not to make art.

Every engagement starts before the camera comes out. What are these images for: a press kit, an awards submission, a campaign, a website? Who is going to look at them, and what do they need to walk away believing? The shoot is planned around the answer.

That means fewer, more deliberate frames, composed for how they will actually be used: cropped for the layout they are going into, lit for the medium that will carry them, and delivered as finished assets, not a folder of options to sort through.

The camera has been part of how I see since I was four. At sixteen I was working in video production, learning how planning and intentionality shape what an audience actually experiences. That discipline moved directly into commercial photography and has informed every shoot since.

Fifteen years of commercial work across Colorado: ten of them based in Steamboat Springs, now in Fort Collins. A practice built around two specializations: architectural work for firms, builders, and developers, and brand & event work for companies, nonprofits, and marketing teams. Both share the same discipline: the image has a job, and it needs to do it.

Available across the Front Range, mountain communities, and beyond.

When the conversation shifts from images to organizational strategy, brand, and operations, that work happens at Daniel Does That.
